Let’s learn, read, and write about anthrozoology and the ways we connect with the fauna who live in abundance among us. In this generative workshop, we will discuss the philosophies that explore the human-animal connection and the writers who scratch at the fences, looking at works like Humanimal, Nightbitch, and even The Metamorphosis to give us inspiration and guidance. We will move from lecture, to generative writing prompts, and then into the star of the show: workshopping your new pieces!
You’ll bring your curiosity and love of animals, we’ll bring the inspiration and prompts, and together we’ll create short pieces that interrogate the animal within ourselves.
Join us on November 21 from 11am-1pm PST via Zoom.
