ARE YOU READY FOR IT?

Dear Reader, SGP is enchanted to announce SGP MINI issue: LIFE OF A SHOWGOOSE. This unedited mini dedicated to gel-pen poetry, long-winded longings, and dancing in your bedroom to glittery music at midnight will feature 13 shimmering poems. We want your late-night lore, vaguely sapphic poems that remind us of crushing on our best friends in high school, and whatever still keeps you believing in fairytales.

Submissions open: October 1 - 13 

Poetry Only! 

• Submit up to 3 poems, max of 7 pages.

• This mini will be capped at 13 poems, so submit your very best!

• SGP Minis are unedited — this means that the editors will NOT (you guessed it) edit the poems. All work should be polished and publication ready before submission.

Vibe Check! 

• Fountain Pen, Quill Pen, and Glitter Gel Pen poems welcome!

• Work directly related to or in conversation with TS lore works — feel free to give us some context in your cover letter.

• Work exploring similar themes to TS discography will make us stay, stay, stay and read your piece again and again!

• While we’re exploring TS in all her many wonderful ways, please also keep in mind SGP’s usual content guidelines, too—review those here!

The Logistics! 

• Use standard formatting — i.e., 12 pt font, 1 inch margins, some sort of serif/sans serif-esque font, etc.

• Do not submit previously published work — this includes pieces featured on your social media/personal blogs/etc.

• Simultaneous subs are allowed (and encouraged! Get those pubs, goose!), but send us a message on Submittable ASAP if you need to pull your piece.

• You must be 18+ to submit to Silly Goose Press.

• SGP is rated PG-13 and reserves the right to decide what is appropriate for our audience! 

• Poems may be formatted to your heart’s desire, but know that sometimes websites are very SILLY GEESE and we will have to fuss around a bit.
