Moon Embrace

Collage

“Many of the collages I have made recently are from a project I started that merges cut-and-paste collages with poetry, making use of eco- and transpoetic frameworks to depict queer middlehood. Many involve circular or cyclical motion, reflecting on the recurring movements that inform our everyday lives, but when accumulated make it feel extraordinary. “Moon embrace” takes these cycles and opens up its arms to them, welcoming both the subtle and enormous changes that come with the phases we pass through.”

Celia Schwartz

Celia Schwartz (they/them) is a recent English major graduate, poet and collage artist. This summer, Celia has been volunteer reading and copy-editing for literary magazines, running around outside like a horse, and reading like crazy. Celia is very excited to be included among the talented writers and artists with Silly Goose Press, and hopes to continue building and engaging in literary community.
