PRIDE 2025

Submissions for PRIDE 2025 are CLOSED!

SUBS ARE CLOSED! Pride 2025 submissions will open May 4-11. We will be taking your queerest, gayest, most fabulous craft-forward whimsy! Take a gander at Issue One, Issue Two, Issue Three, and Issue Four for inspiration!

Submissions for Pride 2025 will be UNEDITED!

When submissions are open:

• email your submission to sillygoosepress@gmail.com as a Word Doc, and use standard formatting (ie, 12 pt font, 1 inch margins, some sort of serif/sans serif-esq font, etc.)

• the subject line MUST INCLUDE “pride 2025” and the genre of your submission (if hybrid, cool! Tell us!)

• please send in only one submission per genre

  • poetry submissions should be addressed to Lexi, only one poem per submission

  • fiction submissions should be addressed to Rhiannon and Ian, only one piece per submission, 1200 words or less

  • nonfiction submissions should be addressed to Parker Dean, only one piece per submission, 1200 words or less

  • art/photography submissions should be addressed to Eric, up to five images per submission, highest quality as possible

• for more information on what our editors look for, check out our regular guidelines here

• you can submit work for multiple genres, just make sure to send these as separate emails with the appropriate subject lines for each genre

• include a (short) 3rd person bio, social links, pronouns, and anything else your heart desires

• do not send us previously published work (this includes pieces featured on your social media/personal blogs/etc.)

• simultaneous subs are allowed (and encouraged! get those pubs, goose!) but let us know ASAP if you need to pull your piece (preferably by replying to your original submission email)

• we typically keep our issues PG-13

  • for art/photography, we do not take nudity or sexually explicit images

  • for other genres, we do not take explicit sex scenes, illusions to sex are okay

  • violence, gore, or other sensitive themes are considered on a case-by-case basis
