Annelise Schoups is a multinational poet best known for laughing at her own jokes and writing about things that are mostly not funny. She received a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Oregon and is now an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her work appears in the 2023-24 San Diego Poetry Annual, where it earned Honorable Mention for the Steve Kowit Poetry Prize 2023, and is forthcoming in december magazine.
